Many years ago, two expectant parents were looking forward to a few more months before their first child was to join their family. Little did they know that nine months was much too long for their newborn to wait. Two months ahead of schedule, their child burst on the scene -- in the middle of mom setting Christmas dinner nonetheless. It was of no consequence to the soon to be, as she would ultimately become known for her impeccable timing of entering a scene at moments just like these.
Oddly enough being two months early would not be the biggest surprise she would deliver this Christmas. It seemed that her parents, giddy in their excitement of becoming parents for the first time, had somehow assumed that their darling little newborn would automatically be a bouncing baby boy. In the wee hours of Boxing Day morn that year, the moment finally arrived when baby finally made three.
And then that gleeful yet awkward moment came to fill in the birth certificate -- it seemed that their original name choice, "James Richard Glasgow, Sr." would just not do any longer. But don't cry just yet for this little girl, for she had a fairy grandmother that unbeknownst to her had saved the day. For a few weeks before Christmas, the newborn's mom was blessed with the gift of a new crib.
A beautiful wood crib set named, "The Jenny Lynn."
